इदानीं तु विजानामि यथा सौम्य सुरेश्वरैः ।
वधार्थं रावणस्येदं विहितं पुरुषोत्तम ॥६-१२२-१७॥
idānīṃ tu vijānāmi yathā saumya sureśvaraiḥ |
vadhārthaṃ rāvaṇasyēdaṃ vihitaṃ puruṣottama ॥6-122-17॥
Translation
O Supreme among men! O gentle one! I now understand that this entire sequence of events was ordained by the Lords of the Gods for the slaying of Ravana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे पुरुषोत्तम! हे सौम्य! अब मैं यह जान गया हूँ कि देवराजों ने रावण के वध के लिए ही इस सम्पूर्ण घटनाक्रम की योजना बनाई थी।
English Commentary
Dasharatha now recognizes the 'Divine Plan.' The exile that once seemed a catastrophe was actually a stage set by the gods for Ravana's end. Addressing Him as 'Purushottama' indicates he has transcended the role of just a father and become a devotee of Shri Rama's divinity.

दशरथ जी को अब उस 'दैवीय योजना' (Divine Plan) का बोध हो गया है। जो वनवास उन्हें एक महान विपत्ति लग रहा था, वह वास्तव में रावण के अंत के लिए देवताओं द्वारा रचित एक मंच था। 'पुरुषोत्तम' शब्द यह सूचित करता है कि वे अब श्री राम के केवल पिता नहीं, बल्कि उनके ईश्वरत्व के भी उपासक बन गए हैं।
