इष्ट्वा तुरगमेधेन प्राप्य चानुत्तमं यशः ।
ब्राह्मणेभ्यो धनं दत्त्वा त्रिदिवं गन्तुमर्हसि ॥६-१२२-६॥
iṣṭvā turagamedhena prāpya cānuttamaṃ yaśaḥ |
brāhmaṇebhyo dhanaṃ dattvā tridivaṃ gantumarhasi ॥6-122-6॥
Translation
After performing the horse-sacrifice (Ashvamedha), attaining unsurpassed glory, and giving wealth to the Brahmanas, You shall be worthy of ascending to the heavens.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अश्वमेध यज्ञ करके, अतुलनीय यश प्राप्त करके और ब्राह्मणों को दान देकर आप (अंत में) स्वर्गलोक जाने के अधिकारी होंगे।
English Commentary
This describes the ideal progression of a king's life. The 'Turagamedha' (Ashvamedha) was the religious validation of being a universal sovereign. Shiva is prophesying the completion of Shri Rama's human play. Achieving public welfare through charity and glory is presented as the path to the divine realms.

यहाँ एक राजा के जीवन के आदर्श क्रम का वर्णन है। 'तुरगमेध' (अश्वमेध) सार्वभौमिक चक्रवर्ती सम्राट होने का धार्मिक प्रमाण था। शिव जी यहाँ श्री राम की मानवीय लीला के पूर्ण होने की भविष्यवाणी कर रहे हैं। दान और यश के माध्यम से लोक-कल्याण करना ही स्वर्ग का मार्ग बताया गया है।
