Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
इन्द्रलोकं गतः श्रीमान्त्वया पुत्रेण तारितः ।
लक्ष्मणेन सह भ्रात्रा त्वमेनं अभिवादय ॥६-१२२-८॥
indralokaṃ gataḥ śrīmāntvayā putreṇa tāritaḥ |
lakṣmaṇena saha bhrātrā tvamenaṃ abhivādaya ॥6-122-8॥
Translation
That glorious king has attained the realm of Indra, having been delivered by a son like You. Now, along with Your brother Lakshmana, offer your salutations to him.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे वैभवशाली राजा अब इन्द्रलोक को प्राप्त हुए हैं। तुम्हारे जैसा पुत्र पाकर वे तर गए हैं। अब तुम भाई लक्ष्मण के साथ उन्हें प्रणाम करो।
English Commentary
The duty of a son is the deliverance of the father. The phrase 'delivered by a son like You' confirms that Shri Rama's exile and adherence to Dharma secured Dasharatha's place in the afterlife. Shiva includes Lakshmana in this honor, presenting a supreme example of filial devotion.

पुत्र का धर्म पिता का उद्धार करना है। 'त्वया पुत्रेण तारितः' शब्द यह सिद्ध करते हैं कि श्री राम के वनवास और धर्म-पालन ने दशरथ जी के परलोक को सुधार दिया। शिव जी लक्ष्मण जी को भी इस सम्मान में सम्मिलित करते हैं। यह पितृ-भक्ति का सर्वोच्च उदाहरण है।
