अमोघं दर्शनं राम तवास्माकं परंतप ।
प्रीतियुक्ताः स्म तेन त्वं ब्रूहि यन्मनसेच्छसि ॥६-१२३-२॥
amoghaṃ darśanaṃ rāma tavāsmākaṃ paraṃtapa |
prītiyuktāḥ sma tena tvaṃ brūhi yanmanasecchasi ॥6-123-2॥
Translation
O Shri Rama, Scorcher of Foes! Our sight is unfailing (fruitful). We are pleased with you; therefore, speak whatever you desire in your mind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे परंतप श्री राम! हमारा दर्शन अमोघ (सफल) है। हम तुम पर प्रसन्न हैं, अतः तुम्हारे मन में जो इच्छा हो, वह मांग लो।
English Commentary
Indra addresses Shri Rama as 'Parantapa' (Scorcher of enemies) and declares that the vision (Darshan) of the Gods is 'amogha'—it never goes in vain. This reflects the theological principle that direct communion with the divine inevitably bears fruit. The Devas, pleased by Shri Rama's restoration of Dharma, offer him a boon. This sets the stage for Shri Rama to demonstrate his selflessness, as the nature of the boon one asks for reveals their true character.

देवराज इन्द्र यहाँ 'अमोघं दर्शनं' के सिद्धांत की पुष्टि करते हैं, जिसका अर्थ है कि दिव्य शक्तियों का साक्षात्कार कभी निष्फल नहीं जाता। वे श्री राम को 'परंतप' (शत्रुओं को संताप देने वाले) कहकर उनके क्षत्रिय धर्म का सम्मान करते हैं। यह देवताओं की ओर से श्री राम के लिए एक खुला प्रस्ताव है कि वे अपनी इच्छा व्यक्त करें। यह क्षण भक्त और भगवान के बीच के संबंध को दर्शाता है जहाँ देवता सत्कर्मों से प्रसन्न होकर वरदान देने के लिए उत्सुक रहते हैं।
