त्वत्प्रसादात् समेयुस्ते वरमेतमहं वृणे ।
नीरुजो निर्व्रणांश्चैव संपन्नबलपौरुषान् ॥६-१२३-७॥
tvatprasādāt sameyuste varametamahaṃ vṛṇe |
nīrujo nirvraṇāṃścaiva saṃpannabalapauruṣān ॥6-123-7॥
Translation
By your grace, let them be reunited (with their kin); this is the boon I choose. Let them be free from pain, free from wounds, and fully endowed with strength and virility.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आपकी कृपा से वे (अपने परिजनों से) जा मिलें, मैं यही वर माँगता हूँ। वे रोग रहित, घावों से मुक्त तथा बल और पौरुष से संपन्न हो जाएँ।
English Commentary
Shri Rama is meticulous in his request. He does not want his soldiers to return to life maimed or suffering. He asks that they be 'niruja' (healthy/pain-free) and 'nirvrana' (without wounds), restored to their full 'bala' (strength) and 'paurusha' (valor). This reflects a holistic concern for their well-being. He explicitly states 'varam etam aham vrine' (I choose this boon), leaving no ambiguity. It shows the foresight of a benevolent king.

श्री राम की मांग में अद्भुत स्पष्टता और पूर्णता है। वे केवल जीवन नहीं मांग रहे, बल्कि स्वस्थ जीवन मांग रहे हैं। 'नीरुजो' (रोग रहित) और 'निर्व्रणां' (घाव रहित) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण हैं। यदि वे केवल जीवित होते और अपंग रह जाते, तो यह वरदान अधूरा होता। श्री राम चाहते हैं कि वे उसी 'बल और पौरुष' के साथ लौटें जैसे वे युद्ध से पूर्व थे। यह अपने आश्रितों के कल्याण के प्रति उनकी सूक्ष्म दृष्टि को दर्शाता है।
