गोलाङ्गूलांस्तथैवर्क्षान् द्रष्टुमिच्छामि मानद ।
अकाले चापि पुष्पाणि मूलानि च फलानि च ॥६-१२३-८॥
golāṅgūlāṃstathaivarkṣān draṣṭumicchāmi mānada |
akāle cāpi puṣpāṇi mūlāni ca phalāni ca ॥6-123-8॥
Translation
O Bestower of Honor! I wish to see the Golangulas (cow-tailed monkeys) and Rikshas (bears) also (alive). And let there be flowers, roots, and fruits even out of season.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे मानद! मैं गोलांगूलों और रीछों को भी (जीवित) देखना चाहता हूँ। तथा (जहाँ वे रहें वहाँ) बिना मौसम के भी फूल, कंद-मूल और फल उपलब्ध रहें।
English Commentary
Addressing Indra as 'Manada' (one who gives honor), Shri Rama extends his prayer to include the Golangulas and Rikshas (bears), ensuring no faction of his coalition is overlooked. Furthermore, he asks for ecological abundance—fruits and roots even in 'akala' (non-season). This demonstrates Shri Rama's pragmatic foresight. Resurrecting millions is one thing; feeding them on their journey home is another. He ensures the ecosystem supports the revived army.

श्री राम यहाँ समावेशिता (inclusivity) का परिचय देते हैं। वे वानरों के साथ-साथ रीछों (जांबवान की सेना) और गोलांगूलों का नाम लेकर यह सुनिश्चित करते हैं कि उनकी सेना का कोई भी वर्ग छूट न जाए। इसके बाद वे एक व्यावहारिक वरदान मांगते हैं—'अकाले चापि' (असमय में भी) फल और मूल की उपलब्धता। चूँकि विशाल सेना को वापस लौटना है, उनके भोजन का प्रबंध करना एक नेता का कर्तव्य है। यह उनकी दूरदर्शिता को सिद्ध करता है।
