Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तां रात्रिमुषितं रामं सुखोत्थितमरिन्दमम् ।
अब्रवीत् प्राञ्जलिर्वाक्यं जयं पृष्ट्वा विभीषणः ॥६-१२४-१॥
tāṃ rātrimuṣitaṃ rāmaṃ sukhotthitamarindamam |
abravīt prāñjalirvākyaṃ jayaṃ pṛṣṭvā vibhīṣaṇaḥ ॥6-124-1॥
Translation
Having spent that night there and risen happily, the tamer of enemies, Shri Rama, was addressed by Vibhishana with folded hands after inquiring about his victory (well-being).
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस रात्रि (लंका में) निवास करके सुखपूर्वक उठे हुए शत्रudमन श्रीश्री राम से, (उनकी) विजय (कुशल-मंगल) पूछकर, विभीषण ने हाथ जोड़कर यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
This verse marks the transition from the chaos of war to the serenity of victory. Shri Rama, described as 'Arindama' (subduer of enemies), wakes up peacefully after a night in Lanka. Vibhishana's gesture of standing with folded hands ('Pranjali') signifies his humility and gratitude. Despite being the newly crowned King of Lanka, he retains his demeanor as a devotee before the Lord.

युद्ध की समाप्ति के बाद यह श्रीश्री राम की लंका में पहली और अंतिम शांतिपूर्ण रात्रि थी। 'सुखोत्थितम्' (सुखपूर्वक उठे हुए) शब्द दर्शाता है कि लंबे संघर्ष के बाद श्रीश्री राम का मन अब शांत है। विभीषण का 'प्रांजलि' (हाथ जोड़कर) आना उनकी कृतज्ञता और श्रीश्री राम के प्रति दास-भाव को प्रकट करता है। वे लंका के राजा होते हुए भी श्रीश्री राम के सेवक की भांति व्यवहार कर रहे हैं।
