रक्षसां वानराणां च सर्वेषां चोपशृण्वताम् ।
पूजितोऽहं त्वया सौम्य साचिव्येन परन्तप ॥६-१२४-१७॥
rakṣasāṃ vānarāṇāṃ ca sarveṣāṃ copaśṛṇvatām |
pūjito'haṃ tvayā saumya sācivyena parantapa ॥6-124-17॥
Translation
"O gentle one! O scorcher of foes! While all the Rakshasas and monkeys are listening, (I declare that) I have been honored by you with your counsel/help."
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सौम्य! हे परंतप! राक्षसों और वानरों—सबके सुनते हुए (मैं कहता हूँ कि) तुमने अपनी सहायता/मंत्रीपन (साचिव्य) से मेरा बहुत सत्कार (पूजा) किया है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama responds with public validation. Before declining the stay, he honors Vibhishana in front of both armies. He states that Vibhishana's 'sachivya' (counsel/ministerial help) during the war was the highest form of worship ('pujito'ham'), acknowledging his crucial role in the victory.

श्रीश्री राम विभीषण के प्रस्ताव को अस्वीकार करने से पहले, सबके सामने ('सर्वेषां उपशृण्वताम्') उनकी प्रशंसा करते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि विभीषण ने युद्ध में जो 'साचिव्य' (सलाह/साथ) दिया, वही सबसे बड़ा सत्कार था। श्री राम कृतघ्न नहीं हैं, वे उपकार मानते हैं।
