अब्रवीद्राघवः श्रीमान् ससुग्रीवविभीषणान् ।
प्रियात् प्रियतरं लब्धं यदहं ससुहृज्जनः ॥६-१२५-२२॥
abravīdrāghavaḥ śrīmān sasugrīvavibhīṣaṇān |
priyāt priyataraṃ labdhaṃ yadahaṃ sasuhṛjjanaḥ ॥6-125-22॥
Translation
...The glorious Raghava said to Sugriva, Vibhishana, and others, 'It is dearer than the dearest thing for me that I will be accompanied by my friends.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
...श्रीमान राघव ने सुग्रीव और विभीषण आदि से कहा—'यह मेरे लिए प्रिय से भी अधिक प्रिय (सौभाग्य) की बात है कि मैं अपने मित्रजनों के साथ (अयोध्या) जाऊंगा।'
English Commentary
Shri Rama's response is touching. He doesn't see this as a burden but as 'priyat priyataram' (dearer than the dearest). For Shri Rama, the celebration of victory is incomplete without his friends. Returning home 'with friends' doubles his joy. This is the supreme example of Shri Rama's affection for his friends.

श्री राम का उत्तर हृदयस्पर्शी है। वे इसे बोझ नहीं मानते, बल्कि 'प्रियात् प्रियतरं' (सबसे अधिक प्रिय) मानते हैं। श्री राम के लिए विजय का उत्सव मित्रों के बिना अधूरा है। 'ससुहृज्जनः' (मित्रों सहित) घर लौटना उनकी खुशी को दोगुना कर देता है। यह श्री राम की मैत्री-वत्सलता का सर्वोच्च उदाहरण है।
