अस्मिन् देशे महाकायो विराधो निहतो मया ।
एते हि तापसावासा दृश्यन्ते तनुमध्यमे ॥६-१२६-४४॥
asmin deśe mahākāyo virādho nihato mayā |
ete hi tāpasāvāsā dṛśyante tanumadhyame ॥6-126-44॥
Translation
O slender-waisted one! In this region, I slew the massive Viradha. Here appear these dwellings of the ascetics.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे कृशोदरी! इसी स्थान पर मैंने विशालकाय विराध का वध किया था। यहाँ ये तपस्वियों के निवास स्थान दिखाई दे रहे हैं।

Protecting the sages of the Dandaka forest was a primary vow of Shri Rama.
