अत्र दत्तवरः शेते प्रमाथी राक्षसेश्वरः ।
तव हेतोर्विशालाक्षि रावणो निहतो मया ॥६-१२६-५॥
atra dattavaraḥ śete pramāthī rākṣasēśvaraḥ |
tava hetorviśālākṣi rāvaṇo nihato mayā ॥6-126-5॥
Translation
O large-eyed one! Here lies the lord of Rakshasas, the oppressor Ravana, who was endowed with boons and has been slain by me for your sake.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे विशाल नेत्रों वाली सीते! यहाँ वरदान प्राप्त और सबको पीड़ा देने वाला वह राक्षसराज रावण मृत पड़ा है, जिसे मैंने तुम्हारे लिए ही मारा है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama announces the fulfillment of His vow. Referring to Ravana as 'Dattavarah' (one who received boons) recalls the seemingly invincible power that Shri Rama broke through His prowess. The phrase 'for your sake' reveals His deep love and sense of duty. This is the direct proof of the end of unrighteousness.

श्री राम यहाँ अपनी प्रतिज्ञा की पूर्णता की घोषणा करते हैं। रावण को 'दत्तवरः' कहना उसकी उस अजेय शक्ति को याद दिलाता है जिसे श्री राम ने अपने पुरुषार्थ से भंग किया। 'तव हेतोः' शब्द उनके अटूट प्रेम और कर्तव्यबोध को प्रकट करते हैं। यह अधर्म के अंत का प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण है।
