पितामहस्य भवनम् गच्चन्तीम् पुञ्जिकस्थलाम् ।
चञ्चूर्यमाणामद्राक्षमाकाशेऽग्निशिखामिव ॥६-१३-११॥
pitāmahasya bhavanaṃ gacchantīṃ puñjikasthalām । cañcūryamāṇāmadrakṣamākāśe'gniśikhāmiva ॥6-13-11॥
Translation
I saw Punjikasthala (an Apsara) going to the abode of the Grandfather (Brahma), flashing/moving about in the sky like a flame of fire.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैंने (एक बार) पितामह (ब्रह्मा) के भवन को जाती हुई 'पुंजिकस्थला' (नामक अप्सरा) को आकाश में अग्निशिखा की तरह चमकते (चंचूर्यमाणाम्) हुए देखा।
English Commentary
The Encounter. Ravana recounts spotting the celestial nymph Punjikasthala. Comparing her to a 'flame' ('agnishikha') highlights her dazzling beauty which instantly ignited Ravana's lust, leading to the transgression.

पुंजिकस्थला प्रसंग। रावण ने पुंजिकस्थला नामक अप्सरा को देखा था जो ब्रह्मा जी के पास जा रही थी। उसकी तुलना 'अग्निशिखा' (Fire flame) से की गई है, जो उसके रूप और रावण की कामग्नि दोनों को दर्शाती है।
