निशाचरेन्द्रस्य निशम्य वाक्यम् ।
स कुम्भकर्णस्य च गर्जितानि ।
विभीषणो राक्षसराजमुख्य ।
मुवाच वाक्यम् हितम्र्थयुक्तम् ॥६-१४-१॥
niśācarendrasya niśamya vākyaṃ sa kumbhakarṇasya ca garjitāni । vibhīṣaṇo rākṣasarājamukhyamuvāca vākyaṃ hitamarthayuktam ॥6-14-1॥
Translation
Having heard the words of the King of Night-rangers and the roarings of Kumbhakarna, Vibhishana spoke beneficial and meaningful words to the chief of Rakshasa kings.
हिंदी अनुवाद
निशाचरों के स्वामी (रावण) की बात और कुम्भकर्ण की गर्जनाओं को सुनकर, विभीषण ने राक्षसराज रावण से हितकारी और अर्थयुक्त (सार्थक) वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Vibhishana's persistence. Despite the hostile reception in the previous sarga, Vibhishana does not give up. He counters the 'garjitani' (roarings/bluster) of Kumbhakarna with 'arthayuktam' (meaningful/logical) advice. He stands alone as the voice of reason against the collective madness.

चौदहवें सर्ग में विभीषण का अंतिम प्रयास। रावण और कुम्भकर्ण के अहंकारपूर्ण संवाद के बाद, विभीषण फिर से हस्तक्षेप करते हैं। उनके वचन 'हितं' (कल्याणकारी) और 'अर्थयुक्तं' (तर्कसंगत) हैं, जो भावना प्रधान रावण और कुम्भकर्ण के विपरीत हैं। यह विभीषण की दृढ़ता और धैर्य का परिचय देता है।
