ऐरावतो विस्वरमुन्नदन् स ।
निपातितो भूमितले मया तु ।
विकृष्य दन्तौ तु मया प्रपह्य ।
वित्रासिता देवगणाः समग्राः ॥६-१५-६॥
airāvato visvaramunnadan sa nipātito bhūmitale mayā tu । vikṛṣya dantau tu mayā prasahya vitrāsitā devagaṇāḥ samagrāḥ ॥6-15-6॥
Translation
'I felled Airavata to the ground as he trumpeted discordantly. Pulling out his tusks forcibly, I terrified all the hosts of gods.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैंने ऐरावत (हाथी) को, जो जोर से चिंघाड़ रहा था, धरती पर गिरा दिया था और बलपूर्वक उसके दांत उखाड़कर समस्त देवगणों को डरा दिया था।
English Commentary

पराक्रम का विवरण। इन्द्रजीत ऐरावत (इन्द्र के हाथी) के दांत उखाड़ने की घटना याद दिलाता है। यह उसकी शारीरिक शक्ति (Brute Strength) और निर्दयता का परिचायक है। वह सभा को यह विश्वास दिलाना चाहता है कि उसका बाहुबल किसी भी चुनौती से निपट सकता है।
