Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न तात मन्त्रे तव निश्चयोऽस्ति ।
बालस्त्वमद्याप्यविपक्वबुद्धिः ।
तस्मात्त्वयाप्यात्मविनाशनाय ।
वचोऽर्थ्हीनम् बहु विप्रलप्तम् ॥६-१५-९॥
na tāta mantre mama niścayo'sti bālastvamadyāpyavipakvabuddhiḥ । tasmāttvayā hyātmavināśanāya vaco'rthahīnaṃ bahu vipralaptam ॥6-15-9॥
Translation
'My dear child, you are still a boy and your intellect is unripe. You have no standing in this counsel. Therefore, for your own destruction, you have prattled much meaningless nonsense.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
विभीषण बोले—'हे तात (बेटा)! अभी तुम बालक हो और तुम्हारी बुद्धि पकी नहीं है (अविपक्वबुद्धि), इसलिए मंत्रणा (नीति) में तुम्हारा कोई निश्चय (अधिकार/ज्ञान) नहीं है। तुमने अपने विनाश के लिए बहुत सी अर्थहीन बकवास (विप्रलप्तम्) की है।'
English Commentary
Dismissal based on maturity. Vibhishana dismisses Indrajit's opinion not by fighting him, but by framing him as a 'Bala' (child) with 'avipakvabuddhi' (unripe intellect). He implies that Indrajit's aggression is a sign of immaturity, not wisdom.
हिंदी टीका
विभीषण की फटकार। वे इन्द्रजीत को बच्चे ('बालः') की तरह डांटते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि युद्ध और नीति बच्चों का खेल नहीं है। इन्द्रजीत की बातों को 'विप्रलप्तम्' (बकवास) कहकर वे उसकी अपरिपक्वता को उजागर करते हैं।
