इति ब्रुवाणं रामस्तु परिष्वज्य विभीषणम् ।
अब्रवील्लक्ष्णणं प्रीतः समुद्राज्जलमानय ॥६-१९-२५॥
tena cainaṃ mahāprājñamabhiṣiñca vibhīṣaṇam । rājānaṃ rakṣasāṃ kṣipraṃ prasanne mayi mānada ॥6-19-25॥
Translation
'O Giver of Honor! As I am pleased, quickly anoint this highly wise Vibhishana as the King of Rakshasas with that water.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'हे मानद! मेरे प्रसन्न होने पर, तुम उस जल से इस महाप्राज्ञ विभीषण का राक्षसों के राजा के रूप में शीघ्र अभिषेक कर दो।'
English Commentary
The Coronation Order. Shri Rama orders the immediate coronation ('abhisheka') of Vibhishana as King of Lanka. This is a masterstroke; it delegitimizes Ravana and installs a rival government in exile, boosting the morale of the alliance.
हिंदी टीका
राज्याभिषेक का आदेश। श्री राम विभीषण को 'राक्षसों का राजा' घोषित करते हैं। वे लक्ष्मण को आदेश देते हैं कि अभी, इसी समय, समुद्र तट पर ही उनका अभिषेक कर दिया जाए। यह विभीषण की स्थिति को वैध (Legitimate) बनाता है।
