यह श्लोक अगले श्लोक के साथ जुड़ा हुआ है। सुग्रीव का मानना है कि लक्ष्य का दृश्यमान (Visible) होना ही आधी जीत है। त्रिकूट पर्वत, जिस पर लंका बसी थी, का उल्लेख भौगोलिक सटीकता देता है। सुग्रीव श्री राम को प्रेरित कर रहे हैं कि वे अपनी दृष्टि लक्ष्य पर स्थिर करें।
