सम्तापस्य च ते स्थानम् न हि पश्यामि राघव ।
प्रवृत्तामुपलब्धायाम् ज्ञाते च निलये रिपोः ॥६-२-३॥
saṃtāpasya ca te sthānaṃ na hi paśyāmi rāghava । pravṛttāvupalabdhāyāṃ jñāte ca nilaye ripoḥ ॥6-2-3॥
Translation
O Raghava, now that the news (of Sita) has been obtained and the abode of the enemy is known, I do not see any ground for your grief.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राघव! सीता का वृत्तांत (समाचार) मिल जाने पर और शत्रु के निवास स्थान का ज्ञान हो जाने पर, मुझे आपके संताप का कोई कारण (स्थान) नहीं दिखाई देता।
English Commentary
Sugriva moves from emotional appeals to logical deduction. He argues that the root cause of the grief was uncertainty. With Hanuman's intelligence report, the 'Unknown' has become 'Known'. Knowing the enemy's location is half the victory. Sugriva implies that grief is irrational when the path forward has become visible; the focus should shift from 'What happened?' to 'What next?'

सुग्रीव तर्क (Logic) का सहारा लेते हैं। उनका कहना है कि दुःख का कारण 'अज्ञान' था—सीता कहां हैं, जीवित हैं या नहीं? अब जब हनुमान ने यह पहेली सुलझा दी है, तो स्थिति 'निराशा' की नहीं बल्कि 'कार्यवाई' की है। समस्या का निदान (Diagnosis) हो चुका है, अब केवल उपचार (Treatment) शेष है। सुग्रीव श्री राम को याद दिला रहे हैं कि सबसे कठिन चरण पार कर लिया गया है।
