गगनाद्भूतले चाशु प्रतिगृह्यावतारितः ।
वानरैः पीड्यमानस्तु शुको वचनमब्रवीत् ॥६-२०-१७॥
gaganādbhūtale cāśu parigṛhya nipātitaḥ । vānaraiḥ pīḍyamānastu śuko vacanamabravīt ॥6-20-17॥
Translation
Caught from the sky, he was quickly thrown down to the earth. Being tormented by the monkeys, Shuka spoke these words.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसे आकाश से पकड़कर शीघ्र जमीन पर गिरा दिया गया। वानरों द्वारा पीड़ित किए जाने पर शुक ने (यह) वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Grounded and tortured. Shuka is dragged from his safety zone to the ground and beaten. Under duress ('pidyamanah'), he cries out to save his life.
हिंदी टीका
शुक की दुर्दशा। उसे जमीन पर पटक दिया गया और प्रताड़ित ('पीड्यमान') किया गया। अपनी जान खतरे में देख, वह बोलने के लिए विवश हुआ।
