समुद्रस्य ततः क्रुद्धो रामो रक्त अन्त लोचनः ।
समीपस्थम् उवाच इदम् लक्ष्मणम् शुभ लक्ष्मणम् ॥६-२१-१३॥
samudrasya tataḥ kruddho rāmo raktāntalocanaḥ । samīpasthamuvācedaṃ lakṣmaṇaṃ śubhalakṣaṇam ॥6-21-13॥
Translation
Then, angry at the Ocean, with eyes red at the corners, Shri Rama spoke these words to the auspicious Lakshmana standing nearby.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब समुद्र (की उपेक्षा) पर क्रुद्ध होकर, जिनके नेत्रों के किनारे लाल हो गए थे, श्री राम ने पास खड़े शुभ लक्षणों वाले लक्ष्मण से यह कहा।
English Commentary
Transformation into Fury. Shri Rama's eyes turning red ('raktantalochana') signals the shift from 'Shanta Rasa' (Peace) to 'Raudra Rasa' (Fury). He turns to Lakshmana, his instrument of action, marking the end of his passive resistance.
हिंदी टीका
धैर्य का अंत। तीन दिन की प्रतीक्षा के बाद श्री राम का धैर्य टूट जाता है। 'रक्तान्तलोचनः' (लाल आँखों वाले) श्री राम का क्रोधित रूप है। विनय जब विफल हो जाती है, तो रौद्र रूप प्रकट होता है। वे लक्ष्मण को संबोधित करते हैं।
