निर्मर्यादम् करिष्यामि सायकैर् वरुण आलयम् ।
महार्णवम् क्षोBहयिष्ये महादानवसम्कुलम् ॥६-२१-२४॥
nirmaryādaṃ kariṣyāmi sāyakairvaruṇālayam । mahārṇavaṃ kṣobhayiṣye mahānakrasamākulam ॥6-21-24॥
Translation
'...I will make that abode of Varuna boundary-less (chaos) with my arrows. I will agitate the great ocean filled with huge crocodiles.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'...उस वरुणालय को मैं अपने बाणों से मर्यादा-रहित (तटों को तोड़ने वाला/उथल-पुथल) कर दूँगा। मैं बड़े-बड़े मगरमच्छों से भरे महार्णव को क्षुब्ध कर दूँगा।'
English Commentary
Breaking Boundaries. Shri Rama vows to make the ocean 'nirmaryadam' (without boundaries/chaotic). This is a rare moment where the Upholder of Dharma threatens to dismantle a part of the cosmic order due to righteous indignation.
हिंदी टीका
मर्यादा का उल्लंघन। श्री राम कहते हैं 'निर्मर्यादं करिष्यामि' (मैं इसे मर्यादाहीन कर दूँगा)। यह एक विरोधाभास है कि 'मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम' स्वयं मर्यादा तोड़ने की बात कर रहे हैं, जो उनके क्रोध की चरम सीमा है।
