एवम् उक्त्वा धनुष् पाणिः क्रोध विस्फारित ईक्षणः ।
बभूव रामो दुर्धर्षो युग अन्त अग्निर् इव ज्वलन् ॥६-२१-२५॥
evamuktvā dhanuṣpāṇiḥ krodhavisphāritekṣaṇaḥ । babhūva rāmo durdharṣo yugāntāgniriva jvalan ॥6-21-25॥
Translation
Having said this, with bow in hand and eyes widened in anger, Shri Rama became invincible/terrible, blazing like the fire at the end of the world.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ऐसा कहकर, हाथ में धनुष लिए हुए और क्रोध से फटी हुई आँखों वाले श्री राम, प्रलयकाल की अग्नि (युगान्ताग्नि) की तरह जलते हुए, अत्यंत भयानक (दुर्धर्ष) हो गए।
English Commentary
The Avatar of Destruction. Shri Rama transforms into a terrifying figure ('durdharsho'). Comparing him to the 'Yugantagni' (Doomsday Fire) suggests that he is tapping into his cosmic power as the destroyer, ready to annihilate the ocean.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम का रौद्र रूप। धनुष हाथ में लेते ही श्री राम का स्वरूप बदल गया। वे 'युगान्ताग्नि' (प्रलय की आग) जैसे लग रहे हैं। उनकी आँखें क्रोध से फैल गई हैं। यह दृश्य देवताओं को भी डराने वाला है।
