सम्पीड्य च धनुर् घोरम् कम्पयित्वा शरैर् जगत् ।
मुमोच विशिखान् उग्रान् वज्राणि इव शत क्रतुः ॥६-२१-२६॥
saṃpīḍya ca dhanurdhoraṃ kampayitvā śanairjagat । mumoca viśikhānugrān vajrāniva śatakratuḥ ॥6-21-26॥
Translation
Straining the terrible bow and making the world tremble slightly, he released fierce arrows just as Indra releases thunderbolts.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस भयानक धनुष को दबाकर (खींचकर) और जगत को धीरे-धीरे कम्पित करके, उन्होंने उग्र बाणों को वैसे छोड़ा जैसे इन्द्र (शतक्रतु) वज्र छोड़ते हैं।
English Commentary
Releasing the Arsenal. The physical act of drawing the bow causes tremors in the world. Shri Rama releases arrows ('vishikhan') that carry the impact of thunderbolts ('vajran'), initiating the assault on the waters.
हिंदी टीका
बाण वर्षा। श्री राम ने धनुष की टंकार से जगत को कंपा दिया ('कम्पयित्वा जगत्')। उनके बाण इन्द्र के वज्र के समान शक्तिशाली हैं। यह आक्रमण की शुरुआत है।
