व्यथिताः पन्नगाः च आसन् दीप्त आस्या दीप्त लोचनाः ।
दानवाः च महावीर्याः पाताल तल वासिनः ॥६-२१-३०॥
vyathitāḥ pannagāścāsan dīptāsyā dīptalocanāḥ । dānavāśca mahāvīryāḥ pātālatalavāsinaḥ ॥6-21-30॥
Translation
The serpents with glowing mouths and eyes, and the mighty Danavas dwelling in the netherworld, were distressed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दीप्त मुख और दीप्त नेत्रों वाले नाग (पन्नग) तथा पाताल तल में रहने वाले महावीर्यवान दानव भी व्यथित (दुखी/पीड़ित) हो गए।
English Commentary
Deep Impact. The assault reaches the 'Patala' (netherworld). Mighty Danavas and glowing serpents, usually safe in the depths, are 'vyathitah' (distressed/pained). Shri Rama's power penetrates all levels of existence.

पाताल पर प्रभाव। श्री राम का क्रोध केवल सतह पर नहीं, बल्कि गहराई में ('पातालतलवासिनः') रहने वाले दानवों और नागों को भी पीड़ित कर रहा है। उनकी चमकती आँखें डर से बाहर आ रही हैं।
