जातरूपमयैश्चैव तपनीयविभूषितैः ।
आत्मजानां च रत्नानां भूषितो भूषणोत्तमैः ॥६-२२-२०॥
jātarūpamayaiścaiva tapanīyavibhūṣitaiḥ |
ātmajānāṃ ca ratnānāṃ bhūṣito bhūṣaṇottamaiḥ ॥6-22-20॥
Translation
He was adorned with ornaments made of gold and refined gold, and decorated with excellent jewels that were born of himself (from the ocean).
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे सुवर्ण (जातरूप) और तपे हुए सोने (तपनीय) के आभूषणों से सजे थे। वे अपने ही (सागर से) उत्पन्न रत्नों के श्रेष्ठ आभूषणों से अलंकृत थे।
English Commentary
The emphasis is on 'Atmaja' (born of self) jewels. The Ocean displays his own wealth. This serves as a reminder of his significance; he is the treasurer of the world. Even in submission, his glory is evident.

सागर को 'रत्नाकर' कहा जाता है। वे किसी और के दिए हुए नहीं, बल्कि अपने ही गर्भ से निकले रत्नों (जैसे कौस्तुभ, मोती आदि) को धारण किए हुए हैं। यह उनकी आत्मनिर्भरता और समृद्धि का परिचायक है।
