धातुभिर्मण्डितः शैलो विविधैर्हिमवानिव ।
एकावलीमध्यगतं तरलं पाटलप्रभम् ॥६-२२-२१॥
dhātubhirmaṇḍitaḥ śailo vividhairhimavāniva |
ekāvalīmadhyagataṃ taralaṃ pāṭalaprabham ॥6-22-21॥
Translation
He looked like the Himalaya mountain decorated with various minerals. In the center of his single-string necklace, there was a trembling gem with a pale red (rose) glow.

जैसे हिमालय पर्वत विविध धातुओं से सुशोभित होता है, वैसे ही वे सुशोभित थे। उनकी एकावली (एक लड़ी वाली माला) के मध्य में एक चंचल, गुलाबी आभा वाला रत्न (तरल) था।
English Commentary
Comparison with the Himalayas asserts his majesty. The specific mention of the pendant (tarala) with a roseate glow draws the eye to his heart center. It highlights the precious nature of the deity.

सागर की विशालता की तुलना हिमालय से की गई है। उनके वक्षस्थल पर झूलता हुआ गुलाबी रत्न संभवतः 'कौस्तुभ' मणि का ही कोई रूप या प्रतीक है (अगले श्लोक में स्पष्ट होगा)। 'तरल' शब्द रत्न की चमक और सागर की चंचल प्रकृति दोनों को ध्वनित करता है।
