विख्यातं त्रिषु लोकेषु मरुकान्तारमेव तत् ।
शोषयित्वा ततः कुक्षिं रामो दशरथात्मजः ॥६-२२-४०॥
vikhyātaṃ triṣu lokeṣu marukāntārameva tat |
śoṣayitvā tataḥ kukṣiṃ rāmo daśarathātmajaḥ ॥6-22-40॥
Translation
After Shri Rama, the son of Dasharatha, dried up the belly of that land, it became famous in all three worlds as 'Marukantara'.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दशरथनंदन श्री राम द्वारा वहां की कोख (जल) को सुखा देने के बाद, वह स्थान तीनों लोकों में 'मरुकान्तार' के नाम से विख्यात हुआ।
