ब्रह्मास्त्रेण संयोज्य ब्रह्मदण्डनिभं शरम् ।
संयोज्य धनुषि श्रेष्ठे विचकर्ष महाबलः ॥६-२२-५॥
brahmāstreṇa saṃyojya brahmadhaṇḍanibhaṃ śaram |
saṃyojya dhanuṣi śreṣṭhe vicakarṣa mahābalaḥ ॥6-22-5॥
Translation
Saying this, the mighty Shri Rama fixed an arrow, resembling the Rod of Brahma (Brahmadanda), onto his excellent bow, charged it with the Brahmastra mantra, and pulled the string.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ऐसा कहकर महाबली श्री राम ने अपने श्रेष्ठ धनुष पर ब्रह्मदंड के समान भयंकर बाण को चढ़ाया और उसे ब्रह्मास्त्र के मंत्र से अभिमंत्रित करके खींचा।
English Commentary
Shri Rama invokes the Brahmastra, the ultimate weapon in the Vedic arsenal, comparable to a nuclear deterrent in modern parlance. Comparing the arrow to 'Brahmadanda' (the staff of Brahma/judgment) indicates irrevocable cosmic punishment. This moment signifies that the time for negotiation has totally ended; the supreme authority is now enforcing its will.

अब चेतावनी क्रिया में बदल रही है। 'ब्रह्मास्त्र' अंतिम अस्त्र है, जिसका संधान केवल चरम परिस्थितियों में किया जाता है। इसकी तुलना 'ब्रह्मदंड' से की गई है, जो अनिवार्य विनाश का प्रतीक है। श्री राम का 'महाबल' विशेषण यहाँ शारीरिक बल के साथ-साथ उस मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक बल को भी दर्शाता है जो ऐसे विनाशकारी अस्त्र को नियंत्रित करने के लिए आवश्यक है।
