तिर्यक् च सह नक्षत्रैः सङ्गतौ चन्द्रभास्करौ ।
भास्करांशुमिरादीप्तं तमसा च समावृतम् ॥६-२२-८॥
tiryak ca saha nakṣatraiḥ saṅgatau candrabhāskarau |
bhāskarāṃśumirādīptaṃ tamasā ca samāvṛtam ॥6-22-8॥
Translation
The Sun and the Moon, along with the stars, moved obliquely and seemed to collide. The sky, though lit by the sun's rays, was simultaneously enveloped in darkness.
हिंदी अनुवाद
नक्षत्रों के साथ सूर्य और चन्द्रमा भी (अस्वाभाविक रूप से) तिरछे होकर एक साथ मिल गए। आकाश सूर्य की किरणों से प्रदीप्त होते हुए भी अंधकार से ढका हुआ था।
English Commentary
This describes a terrifying celestial conjunction. The oblique movement of stars and the simultaneous presence of conflicting luminaries suggest a distortion of spacetime. The paradox of being 'lit by sun's rays' yet 'covered in darkness' illustrates a supernatural phenomenon where the spiritual darkness of wrath overshadows physical light.

यह खगोलीय घटनाओं (astronomical anomalies) का वर्णन है। सूर्य और चन्द्रमा का एक साथ आना और नक्षत्रों का तिरछा होना प्रलयकाल जैसा दृश्य उपस्थित करता है। प्रकाश और अंधकार का एक साथ होना विरोधाभास अलंकार है, जो उस समय की अराजक स्थिति को स्पष्ट करता है। यह संकेत है कि ब्रह्मास्त्र काल (Time) और स्थान (Space) के नियमों को विकृत कर रहा था।
