Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अन्ये मध्येन गच्छन्ति पार्श्वतोऽन्ये प्लवङ्गमाः ।
सलिले प्रपतन्त्यन्ये मार्गमन्ये न लेभिरे ॥६-२२-८५॥
anye madhyena gacchanti pārśvato'nye plavaṅgamāḥ |
salile prapatantyanye mārgamanye na lebhire ॥6-22-85॥
Translation
Some monkeys went through the middle, others by the sides. Some leaped/fell into the water, while others could not find a path.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुछ वानर बीच से जा रहे थे, कुछ किनारे से (पार्श्व से)। कुछ (भीड़ के कारण) जल में कूद/गिर रहे थे और कुछ को रास्ता ही नहीं मिल रहा था।
English Commentary
This verse provides a realistic depiction of crowd dynamics. With millions of monkeys crossing simultaneously, the bridge was packed to capacity. It captures the chaos and enthusiasm—some falling into the water, some swimming, and others struggling to find footing amidst the massive army.

यह श्लोक भारी भीड़ और भगदड़ का यथार्थवादी चित्रण (Realistic depiction) करता है। करोड़ों वानरों के एक साथ चलने से सेतु पर जगह कम पड़ गई थी। उत्साह इतना था कि कुछ पानी में कूद कर तैरने लगे और कुछ को पैर रखने की जगह नहीं मिली।
