शैलैः शूलैश्च खड्गैश्च विमुकैः कपिराक्षसैः ।
भविष्यत्यावृता भूमिर्माम्सशोणितकर्दमा ॥६-२३-१२॥
śailaiḥ śūlaiśca khaṅgaiśca visṛṣṭaiḥ kapirākṣasaiḥ |
bhaviṣyatyāvṛtā bhūmirmāṃsaśoṇitakardamā ॥6-23-12॥
Translation
'Covered with rocks, tridents, and swords hurled by monkeys and demons, the earth will become a swamp of flesh and blood.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'वानरों और राक्षसों द्वारा चलाए गए पत्थरों, शूलों और तलवारों से यह धरती ढक जाएगी और मांस-खून के कीचड़ वाली हो जाएगी।'
English Commentary
Shri Rama visualizes the aftermath explicitly. The imagery of the earth becoming a 'swamp' (kardama) of flesh and blood underscores the brutality of ancient warfare. It acknowledges the clash of two distinct fighting styles: the primitive/natural (rocks/trees of monkeys) vs. the metallic/advanced (swords/tridents of demons).
