परिगृह्योदकम् शीतम् वनानि फलवन्ति च ।
बलौ घम् सम्विभज्येमम् व्यूह्य तिष्ठेम लक्ष्मण ॥६-२३-२॥
parigṛhṇodakaṃ śītaṃ vanāni phalavanti ca |
balaughaṃ saṃvibhajyemaṃ vyūhya tiṣṭhema lakṣmaṇa ॥6-23-2॥
Translation
'O Lakshmana, having secured cool water and fruit-bearing forests, let us divide this multitude of forces, arrange them in battle formation, and take our stand.'

'हे लक्ष्मण! शीतल जल और फलदार वनों को (अपने कब्जे में) लेकर, इस विशाल सेना को विभाजित करके और व्यूह रचना करके हम यहाँ स्थित हों।'
English Commentary
Displaying the acumen of a supreme commander, Shri Rama prioritizes logistics—securing water and food sources in enemy territory. He then orders the organization of the army into divisions and specific battle formations (vyuha). This highlights that spiritual righteousness acts in tandem with practical military strategy.

एक कुशल सेनानायक की भांति, श्री राम सबसे पहले 'रसद' (Logistics) की चिंता करते हैं। शत्रु की भूमि पर जल और भोजन (फल) के स्रोतों पर अधिकार करना प्राथमिकता है। इसके बाद वे 'व्यूह रचना' (Battle formation) का आदेश देते हैं, जो युद्ध नीति (Strategy) का अनिवार्य अंग है।
