सा वीरसमिती राज्ञा विरराज व्यवस्थिता ।
शशिना शुभनक्षत्रा पौर्णमासीव शारदी ॥६-२४-१॥
sā vīrasamitī rājñā virarāja vyavasthitā |
śaśinā śubhanakṣatrā paurṇamāsīva śāradī ॥6-24-1॥
Translation
That assembly of heroes, arranged by the King (Shri Rama), shone resplendent like the autumn full moon night adorned with the moon and auspicious stars.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राजा (श्री राम) द्वारा व्यवस्थित वह वीरों की सभा वैसे ही सुशोभित हो रही थी, जैसे शुभ नक्षत्रों और चन्द्रमा से युक्त शरद ऋतु की पूर्णिमा सुशोभित होती है।
English Commentary
Valmiki uses a beautiful celestial metaphor. Shri Rama is the Moon, and the Vanara heroes are the stars. Just as the autumn full moon night is clear and brilliant, Shri Rama's army appeared organized and radiant. This verse captures the grandeur and order of the army even amidst the preparation for war, highlighting Shri Rama's calming yet majestic presence.

वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ एक सुंदर उपमा का प्रयोग करते हैं। श्री राम 'चन्द्रमा' हैं और वानर वीर 'नक्षत्र' हैं। जिस प्रकार शरद ऋतु की पूर्णिमा का आकाश निर्मल और प्रकाशित होता है, वैसे ही श्री राम की सेना सुव्यवस्थित और तेजस्वी लग रही थी। यह श्लोक युद्ध की तैयारी के बीच भी श्री राम की सौम्यता और सेना की भव्यता को दर्शाता है।
