YUDDHA KANDA•SARGA: 24•SHLOKA: 12
पश्य मत्तविहङ्गानि प्रलीनभ्रमराणि च ।
कोकिलाकुलखण्डानि दोधवीति शिवोऽनिलः ॥६-२४-१२॥
paśya mattavihaṅgāni pralīnabhramarāṇi ca |
kokilākulakhaṇḍāni dodhavīti śivo'nilaḥ ॥6-24-12॥
Translation
'Behold, the auspicious wind is vigorously shaking those (forests) where birds are intoxicated, bees are hidden, and flocks of cuckoos abound.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'देखो, यह कल्याणकारी वायु उन (वनों) को जोर से हिला रही है जहाँ पक्षी मतवाले हो रहे हैं, भौंरे छिपे हैं और कोयलों के समूह भरे हुए हैं।'
English Commentary
Even on the eve of war, nature retains its beauty. 'Shiva's anila' (auspicious wind) is another good omen for Shri Rama. Favorable winds were considered crucial in ancient warfare.
हिंदी टीका
युद्ध की पूर्वसंध्या पर भी प्रकृति अपना सौंदर्य नहीं छोड़ती। 'शिवोऽनिलः' (कल्याणकारी वायु) श्री राम के पक्ष में एक और शुभ शकुन है। हवा का अनुकूल होना प्राचीन युद्धों में बहुत महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता था।
