Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
मूर्ध्नि स्थास्याम्यहं युक्तो लक्ष्मणेन समन्वितः ।
जाम्बवांश्च सुषेणश्च वेगदर्शी च वानरः ॥६-२४-१७॥
mūrdhni sthāsyāmyahaṃ yukto lakṣmaṇena samanvitaḥ |
jāmbavāṃśca suṣeṇaśca vegadarśī ca vānaraḥ ॥6-24-17॥
Translation
'I myself, along with Lakshmana, shall stand at the head (vanguard) of the formation. Jambavan, Sushena, and the monkey Vegadarshi (shall also be there).'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'मैं स्वयं लक्ष्मण के साथ (व्यूह के) मस्तक (सबसे आगे/Head) पर रहूंगा। जाम्बवान, सुषेण और वेगदर्शी वानर (मेरे साथ रहेंगे)।'
English Commentary
Shri Rama adheres to the principle of 'leading from the front'. He chooses the most dangerous position (the head/vanguard) for himself. Having Jambavan (experience), Sushena (medical/wisdom), and Vegadarshi (speed) with him creates a balanced command unit.

श्री राम 'लीडिंग फ्रॉम द फ्रंट' (Leading from the front) के सिद्धांत का पालन करते हैं। सबसे खतरनाक स्थान (मस्तक) उन्होंने अपने लिए चुना। जाम्बवान (अनुभव), सुषेण (चिकित्सा/बुद्धि) और वेगदर्शी (गति) का उनके साथ होना एक संतुलित टीम बनाता है।
