न मे तूणीशयान् बाणान् सविषानिव पन्नगान् ।
रामः पश्यति संग्रामे तेन मां योद्धुमिच्छति ॥६-२४-४४॥
na me tūṇīśayān bāṇān saviṣāniva pannagān |
rāmaḥ paśyati saṃgrāme tena māṃ yoddhumicchati ॥6-24-44॥
Translation
'Shri Rama does not see the arrows resting in my quiver, resembling poisonous snakes, in battle; therefore, he wishes to fight me.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'श्री राम युद्ध में मेरे तरकस में सोए हुए, विषैले सांपों के समान बाणों को नहीं देख रहा है (जानता नहीं है), इसीलिए वह मुझसे युद्ध करना चाहता है।'
English Commentary
More boasting. Comparing arrows to snakes is common, but ironic since Shri Rama possesses the antidote (Garuda/Eagle skills/weapons). Ravana assumes victory before the first arrow is fired.

पुनः वही अहंकार। रावण अपने बाणों को 'विषैले सर्प' कहता है। विडंबना यह है कि श्री राम के पास 'गरुड़' अस्त्र है जो सांपों का नाश करता है।
