राक्षसास्तु प्लवङ्गानां शुश्रुवुश्चापि गर्जितम् ।
नर्दतामिव दृप्तानां मेघानामम्बरे स्वनम् ॥६-२४-५॥
rākṣasāstu plavaṅgānāṃ śuśruvuścāpi garjitam |
nardatāmiva dṛptānāṃ meghānāmambare svanam ॥6-24-5॥
Translation
The Rakshasas also heard the roaring of the monkeys, which was like the sound of proud, thundering clouds in the sky.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसों ने भी वानरों की गर्जना सुनी, जो आकाश में गरजते हुए दर्पयुक्त (घमंडी/शक्तिशाली) बादलों के समान थी।
English Commentary
Action and reaction. Now the Rakshasas heard the Vanaras' retort. Comparing the monkeys to 'proud clouds' highlights their indomitable spirit and confidence. Both sides were essentially engaging in an auditory assault before the physical battle began.

क्रिया की प्रतिक्रिया। अब राक्षसों ने वानरों का उत्तर सुना। वानरों की तुलना 'दृप्त मेघों' (Proud clouds) से की गई है, जो उनकी अदम्य शक्ति और आत्मविश्वास को दर्शाती है। दोनों पक्ष अपनी-अपनी ध्वनि तरंगों से ही एक-दूसरे पर आक्रमण कर रहे थे।
