मूर्ध्नि स्थास्याम्यहम् यत्तो लक्ष्मणेन समन्वितः ।
जाम्बवाम्श्च सुषेणश्च वेगदर्शी च वानरः ॥६-२५-१७॥
parijñātuṃ balaṃ kṛtsnaṃ tavedaṃ raghunandana |
tayostadvacanaṃ śrutvā rāmo daśarathātmajaḥ ॥6-25-17॥
Translation
'...to fully understand/assess this entire army of yours, O Joy of Raghus.' Hearing those words of theirs, Shri Rama, the son of Dasharatha (responded).
हिंदी अनुवाद
'...हे रघुनंदन! आपकी इस पूरी सेना को (जांचने/जानने) के लिए (हम आए थे)।' उन दोनों के वे वचन सुनकर दशरथनंदन श्री राम ने (प्रतिक्रिया दी)।
English Commentary
The spies confess their mission clearly. Addressing Shri Rama as 'Raghunandana' (Joy of Raghus) indicates a level of respect even amidst hostility. Shri Rama is referred to as 'Dasharathatmaja' (Son of Dasharatha), highlighting his royal dignity and patience in listening to the full confession before reacting.

गुप्तचरों ने अपनी मंशा स्पष्ट कर दी। वे श्री राम को 'रघुनंदन' कहते हैं, जो शत्रुता के बीच भी श्री राम के व्यक्तित्व के प्रति सम्मान को दर्शाता है। श्री राम का 'दशरथात्मज' (दशरथ का पुत्र) के रूप में उल्लेख उनकी राजसी गरिमा और धैर्य को रेखांकित करता है कि वे शत्रु की बात पूरी सुनने के बाद ही प्रतिक्रिया देंगे।
