प्रचचाल च वेगेन त्रस्ता चैव वसुन्धरा ।
पीड्यमाना बलौ घेन तेन सागरवर्चसा ॥६-२५-२॥
samagraṃ sāgaraṃ tīrṇaṃ dustaraṃ vānaraṃ balam |
abhūtapūrvaṃ rāmeṇa sāgare setubandhanam ॥6-25-2॥
Translation
'The entire monkey army has crossed the impassable ocean. The construction of a bridge over the ocean by Shri Rama is an unprecedented event.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'सम्पूर्ण वानर सेना दुस्तर (जिसे पार करना कठिन हो) सागर को पार कर चुकी है। श्री राम द्वारा सागर पर सेतु का निर्माण एक अभूतपूर्व (जो पहले कभी नहीं हुआ) घटना है।'
English Commentary
Even Ravana admits the bridge construction is 'unprecedented' (abhutapurvam). While his ego prevents full acknowledgment of Shri Rama's divinity, he cannot deny the hard facts. The realization that the 'impassable' has been passed is shaking his confidence.
हिंदी टीका
रावण स्वयं स्वीकार कर रहा है कि सेतु बंधन 'अभूतपूर्व' है। उसका अहंकार उसे श्री राम की शक्ति को पूरी तरह स्वीकारने से रोकता है, लेकिन वह तथ्यों (Facts) को नकार नहीं पा रहा। असंभव का संभव होना उसे विचलित कर रहा है।
