दीर्घमुष्णम् च निःश्वस्य समुद्वीक्ष्य च लक्ष्मणम् ।
उवाच वचनम् वीरस्तत्कालहितमात्मनः ॥६-२५-८॥
kaśca senāpatisteṣāṃ vānarāṇāṃ mahaujasām |
etajjñātvā yatātattvaṃ śīghramāgantumarhathaḥ ॥6-25-8॥
Translation
'And who is the commander-in-chief of those mighty monkeys? Having ascertained all this accurately, you must return quickly.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'उन महातेजस्वी वानरों का सेनापति कौन है? यह सब यथार्थ रूप में जानकर तुम दोनों को शीघ्र (लौट) आना चाहिए।'
English Commentary
Ravana wants to identify the operational commander (Commander-in-Chief), knowing Sugriva is the King. Identifying the tactical leader (like Nila) is key. The urgency (shighram) reflects the imminent threat.

रावण को संदेह है कि सुग्रीव राजा है, तो सेनापति कोई और हो सकता है (जैसे नील)। सही 'चेन ऑफ कमांड' (Chain of Command) जानना जरूरी है। 'शीघ्र' लौटने का आदेश स्थिति की गंभीरता को दर्शाता है।
