लंका प्रवेपते सर्वा सशैल वन कानना ।
सर्व शाखा मृग इन्द्रस्य सुग्रीवस्य महात्मनः ॥६-२६-१३॥
laṅkā pravepate sarvā saśailavanakānanā |
sarvaśākhāmṛgendrasya sugrīvasya mahātmanaḥ ॥6-26-13॥
Translation
'...all of Lanka with its mountains and forests is trembling; (this is Nila), the commander of the high-souled Sugriva, King of all monkeys.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'...पर्वतों और वनों सहित पूरी लंका कांप रही है; यह समस्त वानरों का राजा महात्मा सुग्रीव का (सेनापति नील है)।'
English Commentary
Nila's power resonates through the island. 'Lanka is trembling' highlights the physical and psychological impact of his presence. He is introduced as the primary executive of King Sugriva.

नील की शक्ति का प्रभाव पूरी लंका पर पड़ रहा है। 'पूरी लंका कांप रही है'—यह अतिशयोक्ति नील के भय (Terror) को दर्शाती है। वह सुग्रीव का दायां हाथ है।
