बल अग्रे तिष्ठते वीरो नीलो नाम एष यूथपः ।
बाहू प्रगृह्य यः पद्भ्याम् महीम् गच्चति वीर्यवान् ॥६-२६-१४॥
balāgre tiṣṭhate vīro nīlo nāmaiṣa yūthapaḥ |
bāhū pragṛhya yaḥ padbhyāṃ mahīṃ gacchati vīryavān ॥6-26-14॥
Translation
'The hero standing at the head of the army is the commander named Nila. This powerful one walks on the earth with his arms raised.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'जो सेना के अग्रभाग में खड़ा है, यह 'नील' नामक वीर यूथपति है। जो अपनी भुजाओं को उठाए हुए (उत्साह में) वीर्यवान वानर पैरों से पृथ्वी पर चल रहा है।'
English Commentary
Nila, son of Agni, is the Field Marshal. Standing at the vanguard (balagre) confirms his leadership. Walking firmly on earth with raised arms signifies readiness to engage in hand-to-hand combat.
हिंदी टीका
नील अग्निदेव के पुत्र हैं। वे श्री राम की सेना के 'फील्ड मार्शल' हैं। 'पैरों से पृथ्वी पर चलना' शायद यह इंगित करता है कि वे उड़ने के बजाय पैदल मार्च कर रहे हैं, जो दृढ़ संकल्प का प्रतीक है।
