तांस्तु तेऽहं प्रवक्ष्यामि प्रेक्षमाणस्य यूथपान् ।
राघवार्थे पराक्रान्ता ये न रक्षन्ति जीवितम् ॥६-२७-१॥
tāṃstu te'haṃ pravakṣyāmi prekṣamāṇasya yūthapān |
rāghavārthe parākrāntā ye na rakṣanti jīvitam ॥6-27-1॥
Translation
(Sarana says to Ravana) 'O King! I shall now tell you about those commanders whom you are looking at; those who, striving for Raghava's sake, do not care to protect their own lives.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
(सारण रावण से कहता है) 'हे राजन्! अब मैं आपको उन यूथपतियों (सेनानायकों) के बारे में बताऊँगा जिन्हें आप देख रहे हैं। जो राघव (श्री राम) के लिए पराक्रम करते हुए अपने प्राणों की भी परवाह (रक्षा) नहीं करते।'
English Commentary
Sarana begins the detailed 'Order of Battle' briefing. He first highlights the core strength of the Vanara army: their absolute loyalty. They are not mercenaries but devotees willing to sacrifice their lives 'for the sake of Raghava'. An enemy who does not fear death is the most dangerous kind for any king to face.

सारण अब वानर सेना की 'इन्फैंट्री' और उनके कमांडरों का विस्तृत परिचय ('Order of Battle') देना शुरू करता है। वह सबसे पहले उनकी निष्ठा (Loyalty) को रेखांकित करता है—वे भाड़े के सैनिक नहीं हैं, बल्कि 'राघवार्थे' (श्री राम के लिए) प्राण देने वाले समर्पित योद्धा हैं। किसी भी राजा के लिए ऐसे शत्रु सबसे खतरनाक होते हैं जो मृत्यु से नहीं डरते।
