यं त्वेनमभिसंरब्धं प्लवमानमिव स्थितम् ।
प्रेक्षन्ते वानराः सर्वे स्थिता यूथपयूथपम् ॥६-२७-१६॥
yaṃ tvenamabhisaṃrabdhaṃ plavamānamiva sthitam |
prekṣante vānarāḥ sarve sthitā yūthapayūthapam ॥6-27-16॥
Translation
'All the monkeys are standing and looking at this commander of commanders (Jambavan), who is enraged and seems ready to leap.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'इस क्रोधित और (उत्साह में) कूदते हुए से प्रतीत होने वाले यूथपतियों के यूथपति (जाम्बवान) को सभी वानर खड़े होकर (आदर से) देख रहे हैं।'
English Commentary
Observe the reverence for Jambavan. He is the 'Commander of Commanders'. The entire army watches him because his rage and readiness signal the onset of battle. When the oldest veteran is ready to leap into the fray, it significantly boosts the morale of the younger troops.
हिंदी टीका
जाम्बवान का सम्मान देखिये। वे 'यूथपयूथप' (कमांडरों के कमांडर) हैं। पूरी सेना उन्हें देख रही है क्योंकि उनका क्रोध और उत्साह युद्ध का संकेत है। जब सबसे बुजुर्ग योद्धा कूदने को तैयार हो, तो युवा सैनिकों का मनोबल अपने आप बढ़ जाता है।
