तेषां मध्ये गिरिवरस्त्वमिवानघ रक्षसाम् ।
तत्रैते कपिलाः श्वेतास्ताम्रास्या मधुपिङ्गलाः ॥६-२७-४०॥
teṣāṃ madhye girivarastvamivānagha rakṣasām |
tatraite kapilāḥ śvetāstāmrāsyā madhupiṅgalāḥ ॥6-27-40॥
Translation
'O Sinless one! Just as you are among Rakshasas, that excellent mountain is among those mountains. There, these tawny, white, red-faced, and honey-colored (monkeys dwell).'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'हे अनघ! जैसे राक्षसों के बीच आप हैं, वैसे ही उन पर्वतों के बीच वह श्रेष्ठ पर्वत है। वहां ये सुनहरे, सफेद, लाल मुख वाले और शहद जैसे पिंगल वर्ण वाले (वानर रहते हैं)।'
English Commentary
Sarana subtly flatters Ravana by comparing him to the best mountain. The description of the monkeys (gold, white, red, honey-colored) paints a vibrant picture of Kesari's tribe.
हिंदी टीका
सारण रावण की तुलना पर्वतराज से करके उसकी चापलूसी करता है ('अनघ' - पाप रहित, 'रक्षसाम् त्वमिव'). केसरी की सेना बहुरंगी (Colorful) है।
