पर्वतेषु च ये केचिद्विषमेषु नदीषु च ।
एते त्वामभिवर्तन्ते राजन्नृक्षाः सुदारुणाः ॥६-२७-८॥
parvateṣu ca ye kecidviṣameषु nadīṣu ca |
ete tvāmabhivartante rājannṛkṣāḥ sudāruṇāḥ ॥6-27-8॥
Translation
'O King! Those who (dwell) in rugged mountains and rivers... these very terrible Bears are advancing towards you.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'हे राजन्! जो दुर्गम पर्वतों और नदियों में (रहते हैं)... ये अत्यंत भयानक 'रीछ' (Bears) आपकी ओर बढ़ रहे हैं।'
English Commentary
Introduction of the Bear (Riksha) division allied with the Vanaras. Dwelling in rugged terrains implies they are hardy and tough. They present a different, perhaps more primal and terrifying threat than the monkeys.
