रक्षोगणपरिक्षिप्तो राजा ह्येष विभीषणः ।
श्रीमता राजराजेन लङ्कायामभिषेचितः ॥६-२८-२७॥
rakṣogaṇaparikṣipto rājā hyeṣa vibhīṣaṇaḥ |
śrīmatā rājarājena laṅkāyāmabhiṣecitaḥ ॥6-28-27॥
Translation
...surrounded by a group of Rakshasas, this is King Vibhishana. He has been anointed as King of Lanka by the glorious King of Kings (Shri Rama).
हिंदी अनुवाद
...राक्षसों के समूह से घिरा हुआ यह राजा 'विभीषण' है। जिसका श्रीमान राजाधिराज (श्री राम) ने लंका के राज्य पर अभिषेक कर दिया है।
English Commentary
Vibhishana is addressed as 'King' because Shri Rama has already consecrated him. This poses a severe political and psychological threat to Ravana—a legitimate rival claimant to the throne of Lanka now stands with the enemy.

विभीषण का परिचय 'राजा' के रूप में दिया गया है क्योंकि श्री राम ने उन्हें लंका का राजा घोषित कर दिया है। यह रावण के लिए एक गंभीर राजनैतिक और मनोवैज्ञानिक चुनौती है—लंका का 'वैध' उत्तराधिकारी अब शत्रु खेमे में है।
