एते दुष्प्रसहा राजन् बलिनः कामरूपिणः ।
दैत्यदानवसंकाशा युद्धे देवपराक्रमाः ॥६-२८-३॥
ete duṣprasahā rājan balinaḥ kāmarūpiṇaḥ |
daityadānavasaṃkāśā yuddhe devaparākramāḥ ॥6-28-3॥
Translation
O King! These monkeys are irresistible in battle, strong, and capable of changing form at will. They resemble Daityas and Danavas in appearance but possess the valor of Devas in combat.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राजन्! ये वानर युद्ध में असह्य, अत्यंत बलवान और इच्छानुसार रूप धारण करने वाले हैं। ये दैत्य और दानवों के समान (विशालकाय) हैं, किन्तु युद्ध में देवताओं के समान पराक्रम रखने वाले हैं।
English Commentary
Shuka provides a strategic assessment of the enemy. Describing them as Kamarupinah (shape-shifters) indicates their versatility in warfare. While their physical form may be terrifying like demons, their valor is likened to the Devas, suggesting a divine sanction and a righteous fury that makes them formidable opponents.

शुक रावण को शत्रु की क्षमताओं के प्रति सचेत करते हैं। वानरों का 'कामरूपी' होना उनकी सामरिक श्रेष्ठता को दर्शाता है। उनका स्वरूप भले ही राक्षसों (दैत्य-दानव) जैसा भयानक हो, परन्तु उनका 'तेज' और 'पराक्रम' देवताओं जैसा है, जो यह संकेत करता है कि वे धर्म के पक्ष में हैं और अजेय हैं।
