Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एषोऽभिगन्ता लङ्काया वैदेह्यास्तव च प्रभो ।
एनं पश्य पुरा दृष्टं वानरं पुनरागतम् ॥६-२८-९॥
eṣo'bhigantā laṅkāyā vaidehyāstava ca prabho |
enaṃ paśya purā dṛṣṭaṃ vānaraṃ punarāgatam ॥6-28-9॥
Translation
O Lord! He is the one who came to Lanka for the sake of Vaidehi and for you. Behold this monkey whom you have seen before and who has returned.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे प्रभो! यही वह वानर है जो सीता (वैदेही) को खोजने के लिए और आपके पास (लंका में) आया था। इस वानर को देखिए जिसे आपने पहले देखा था और जो पुन: यहाँ आ गया है।
English Commentary
Shuka identifies Hanuman as the operative who had previously infiltrated Lanka. By using the phrase 'seen before' (pura drishtam), he invokes the memory of the destruction Hanuman caused. It serves as a grim reminder that the nemesis who humiliated Ravana once has returned to finish the task.
हिंदी टीका
शुक रावण को स्मरण दिलाता है कि यह वही वानर है जिसने लंका दहन किया था। 'पुनरागतम्' (फिर से आया हुआ) शब्द रावण के लिए एक चेतावनी है कि जिस शत्रु को वह मारने में असफल रहा था, वह अब पूरी तैयारी के साथ विनाश करने के लिए लौट आया है।
