अपध्वंसत गच्छध्वं संनिकर्षादितो मम ।
न हि वां हन्तुमिच्छामि स्मराम्युपकृतानि वाम् ॥६-२९-१४॥
apadhvaṃsata gacchadhvaṃ saṃnikarṣādito mama |
na hi vāṃ hantumicchāmi smarāmyupakṛtāni vām ॥6-29-14॥
Translation
Be gone! Get away from my presence. I do not wish to kill you, for I remember your past services.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दूर हटो! मेरे समीप से यहाँ से चले जाओ। मैं तुम दोनों को मारना नहीं चाहता क्योंकि मुझे तुम्हारे (पुराने) उपकार याद हैं।
English Commentary
The dismissal is abrupt and humiliating ('apadhvamsata' - get lost/perish). Ravana banishes the truth-tellers from his vicinity. By removing those who warn him, he isolates himself in an echo chamber of his own making. The phrase 'I remember your services' is the only thread saving them, but their expulsion marks the beginning of Ravana's blindness to the reality of the war.

रावण का आदेश अपमानजनक है—'अपध्वंसत' (नष्ट हो जाओ/दूर हटो)। वह उन्हें अपने 'संनिकर्षात्' (समीप) से हटा रहा है। एक राजा के लिए अच्छे सलाहकारों को दूर करना विनाश का मार्ग है। रावण केवल शारीरिक रूप से उन्हें नहीं हटा रहा, बल्कि सत्य को अपनी दृष्टि से ओझल कर रहा है। वह सोचता है कि उसने उन पर दया की, जबकि वास्तव में वह अपनी ही रक्षा पंक्ति (गुप्तचर व्यवस्था) को कमजोर कर रहा है।
